Nagios Configuration ExampleIn the following configuration examples, Nagios is installed to /usr/local/nagios. If you use preinstalled plugins with SUSE or RedHat/Fedora, you have to change $USER1$ in ressource.cfg to /usr/lib/nagios/plugins.
nagios-cfg-min.tgz:
minimal configuration for Nagios with some preconfigured host objects.
The tar file contains htpasswd with user nagadmin and password nagios for
your first login on the Nagios web interface.
Please back up your existing configuration (if any), change your path to
/etc, and extract the tar file. A directory ./nagios will be created. nagios.conf: configuration file for Apache2. Place it in /etc/apache2/conf.d (RedHat/Fedora: /etc/httpd/conf.d) and restart Apache2. htaccess for authorization: copy it to /usr/local/nagios/sbin and rename it to .htaccess. |
